French Baker Macaroons Review ♡

It would probably be an underestimate to say that macaroons hit the food market by storm. The light baked confection originated from a Monastery in Italy during the 9th century. Over the years there have been a lot of variations to this meringue-like cookie; one of the renowned rendition would be from France: the famous Parisian Macaroons.

Although famous, it is hard to find a store that sells macaroons in the Philippines. Most store that sells macaroons are either online shops or bakeshops that only has one branch; that's why French Baker decided to make this delightful sweet, to make it more accessible to people.

The macaroons (per  piece) costs Php. 34 for  the regular ones and Php. 36 for the special flavored ones.
French baker macaroons is definitely bigger than the macaroons from some high end brands; it is noticeably softer than a typical macaroon meaning it breaks easily so you have to be really delicate when your eating it.

Chocolate flavored macaroon. (I know that the pic on the right is blurred and I'm sorry for that)

The macaroons are filled with a jam that differs depending on the flavor of the macaroon. The macaroons are richly flavored that is why even though it is not as chewy as the macaroons from other brands I still enjoyed eating it.

I found two problems with the macaroons. One: as seen above, it seems like the only reason why it looks big is because it likely more air than the actual macaroons; two: as I mentioned before, it breaks easily.

Final Verdict (five being the highest)

Overall, I really enjoyed eating this pastry and I would definitely buy more in the future.
